Hey, my name is Jaimy and I’m a life long
victim resident of Minnesota. I’m 21 years old (damn it, OK fine 40) and I have 3 rad kids from a failed marriage. But I have an awesome girlfriend, named Shellie. She is the love of my life and I can’t get enough of her. She…oh, wait this is supposed to be about me.
Here is a picture of me stuffing my face with a beignet in New Orleans.
I love to travel. I’ve been to 48 of the 50 states and 4 of the 196 countries. Wow, it sounds pretty bad putting that way. But this blog isn’t about other countries. Or even about other states. This blog is about me and Minnesota. This is my Minnesota travel blog. I’ve had a love/hate relationship with Minnesota for a very long time. You see, I like summer activities but never found any redeeming qualities for winter. I mean, I’ve hiked in the winter and I’m not one to turn down a winter at the bar. It’s just that winter is way more of a hassle than it’s worth.
So, Minnesota has 87 counties. Of which I’ve been to…um, a bunch of them? We don’t really go by county here. We have Minneapolis and its lesser known twin St Paul (which turns out to be our state capital, who knew?). You’ll be hearing a lot about them. We also have 67 state parks. Shellie and I set one of our first ridiculous goals to visit every one of them (so far, so bad). Minnesota is home to America’s largest mall. You’re sure to hear about that. We have a crap ton of museums and events. Minnesota is also the land of 10,000 lakes, so maybe you’ll hear about a lake or 2.
So that’s me. This blog is all about me and my Minnesota experience. Truth be told, I haven’t done much here. So let’s get started.
If you want to say hi you can do it at my home, the address is…wait Shellie says maybe email is better. So hit me up at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks!
In case you forgot what I look like, this is me sitting on a wall.
Full disclosure stuff…I have an REI affiliate program thingy set up. So occasionally I may use a link to a product you can buy at REI. This is in no way to get you to buy anything. But maybe, just maybe, you’re looking to buy something like that anyway and you’ll use my link? It wont cost you any extra and I get a small cut.
And another thing. Everything on this site is copyright MNTraveler.com. Ask before using stuff. Thanks.
